a morning stroll by studio AKA was probably the best animation i saw at the festival as it showed 3 different styles of animation and was really funny as well, it defiantly went down well with the crowd getting a good reception, i can only find the trailer online so i must be privileged to have seen the whole video but ill put it on here as soon as i find it.
ready steady bang's 30 ways to kill a cowboy was a short simple animation that made me chuckle, although the animation is not that complicated or impressive to look at it made me laugh and kept my attention for the whole minute which i think is really important and i want to have this affect on people when i make animations.
Back from pictoplasma
Since coming back from pictoplasma in berlin I've seen a lot of work i liked and at the same time didn't. I found that the work that made me laugh or had a compelling narrative kept my attention better as i was always tired in the mornings. The music videos we saw were also work i enjoyed but as with everything there was a few dull ones, saying this i always aprichiated the quality of the animations or the imagination behind them but without a real story behind them i struggled to enjoy the animations to the full. I suppose its the same with all things, even new pixar releases such as toy story wouldn't be successful without their story lines despite the incredible animation behind it. Well ill shut up now and post some of the animations and artists work i saw from my week in berlin that have already started to influence my sketches.
